Back in the day Baseball players had to carve their own Wood Bats. They called them “Wonderboy”, carved lighning bolts into the barrel and these Bats were widely regarded as having magically power. Young players today don’t have to go through all this. The lightning bolt comes with the bat right from the factory and the bats are not made out of wood but out of aluminum. This material offers a huge advantage over the fence poles from back then: it is light, in case of the new Voltage very light with the bat offering a weight drop of (-11). This makes handling the bat a lot easier for the young player, giving him every chance to make the first at-bats successful ones. Slugger shells out a durable 7046 Alloy that has been successfully used in numerous other bat models over the years. The 2 1/4” youth barrel is rounded out by a pro cup end cap that keeps vibrations away from the hitter’s hands. A 7/8” regular handle is also aboard, rounding out the new Voltage.
