Just when you thought you had seen all the Glove technology there is, Rawlings plays another Ace. The new Encore Series features a unique new Web and Pocket Design that allows the fingers to close around the ball instead of the web squeezing it. This increases ball control and shape retention of the web area. The heel of the Encore Glove features additional padding for extra hand protection. The size of the wrist opening can be individually adjusted via two pull-laces, marking the first time a Glove provides a custom fit without needing a Velcro strap. The EC1175-8B offers an 11 3/4" length and a shallow one piece solid Web making it a reliable partner for the quick play between the bases. The pre-oiled Leather provides a healthy stiffness and a good compromise between quick break-in and sufficient time to form the Glove into the desired shape.
