3D Embroidery
The most popular embroidery option. On a 3D embroidery, puffy foam is placed underneath the thread. This creates the raised effect and the striking, flashy presentation of your logo.
3D embroidery works best on clear logos with little detail. Because of technical limitations, not all logos can be produced in 3D. On logos with a lot of small details, the 3D effect can get lost and the overall visual result might be better when sticking with the flat embroidery. Direct Embroidery
Direct (while the name is misleading, as 3D embroidery is also directly applied to the cap) or „flat embroidery“ is the classic decoration option that everybody knows from logo embroidery on T-shirts or Polo shirts. The flat embroidery delivers a clear, high quality and durable decoration option and allows for designs with a lot of detail.
Embroidery on the back/side
Custom embroidery is also available on the back or side of your new cap. Back or side embroidery is only available in direct embroidery (not 3D). Richardson does not offer individual name or number embroidery.
Patches
Patches offer a high quality alternative to cap decoration. While this technique is usually not used in the “on-field” segment, we still wanted to mention it here. From embroidered patches, debossed leather patches to sublimated patches for clear and sharp details, patches offer a great alternative to classic embroidery.
