The PFBDCT Player Preferred First Base Mitt not only offers a solid 12 1/2” length but provides pre-oiled Full Grain Leather for great durability and, for a Mitt, quick break-in. Rawlings revived the original Ca-Thud Palm Design in the PBFDCT. This pattern cuts the half moon side of the Glove in two segments and hinges the lower to the upper part via leather laces. By dividing this relatively large leather area into two pieces, the Glove provides more flexibility and ball control than regular patterns. A large open single bar Web securely holds onto anything that the PBFDCT lays hands on. The open back offers a flexible fit perfect for stretch, scoop and other artistics while a Zero Shock Palm pad provides extended hand protection.
