Rawlings introduces the R115FBM Youth First Base Mitt, designed for the young player that is getting his first tries at first base. The Mitt offers an 11 1/2\" length that many players already know from their Fielding Glove – but with the benefits of a Mitt. The half moon cut increases the catching surface and makes it easier to “scoop” short throws at first base. Pre-oiled Full Grain Leather provides a durable frame, a sure catch notch reduced the hand strength required to squeeze the Mitt. The catching hand sits in an open back for maximum range of motion. An index- and palm pad provide extended hand protection.
